well up we got once again, after listening to the heaviest rain I've heard at 5.45 and along for breakfast.
there are 8 in our group 4 English and an American family.
We were told at breakfast no walking as it was 2 heavy rain, but it stopped after 8 so off we went to look for wild boar etc at an animallick but alas it was deserted, Roy did see a Howling monkey but I did not, we then had a walk alon to a brasil nut plantation to look at the huge trees, the nuts come in a hard shell like a coconut and consists of about 20 nuts.
We went back to lodge where Roy cracked open one with a machete, I did not I would have got my leg :).
Another fine lunch was to be had.
After lunch we went on a medicinal walk looking at different trees, plants that are used to heal, make love potions to see in the past and future. These potions are prepared by the Sharmen (witch docs)
William told us about his experiences and about his family which all was very interesting.
After tea and a few pisco coctails we went for a walk in the dark to see if we could find anything, we saw some bugs and listened to night monkeys but could not spot them with our torches.
Another good day it was apart from the cold
We got up next morning usual time had breakfast and by 7 were sitting on the boat with our gear to head back for the airport
that journey was very cold, but these poor guides and staff not only felt the cold but looked frozen at all times.
Hopefully the weather has now changed for them
